Snow Crash

Downward, spiraling into the dark,
Underbelly of another world.
I walk the streets, paved with snow.
I am lost, forlorn, moments of happiness,
Intertwined with empty sadness,
My lack all the more evident,
When silent music plays through,
Audio units laid carelessly across,
Piles of strangely denoted paper scrawl.

Who are these people I meet?
The reach for human comfort,
Laughable, when all the world’s
A stage, yet, I choose the left,
Door and again, fall into places,
That I imagine must exist,
But only in my nightmares.
I am myself, but seen through,
Differently colored eyes, their
Shapes unrecognizable to me,
Though strangely attractive.

God created this place?
I did. You did? Why?
In the image of Sodom and,
Gomorrah. Sights unseen,
Since ancient times. Caligula
Would be at home here.
Walking further down the
Pixelated road, into the darkest
Regions of my psyche. Everything
Is here. And I mean everything!

My eyes wide open, for to look
Away is to miss Nirvana, bursting
Out through the two dimensional
Representation of a three dimensional
Space. I understand more now,
Than ever before. With knowledge,
Comes power but the power here
Is magnified. Minds using virtual
Bodies to what ends? I see myself
Mirrored in the looking glass.

Is this who I really am? A
Series of on off impulses of
Light, emitting from a screen
In a darkened silent room.
When they come for me,
I will be prepared. I have
Walked a hundred thousand
Miles. Until eternity ends,
Sputtering on into the void.
Sleep now. For tomorrow
I will walk again.

Though the Rain Falls

Walking through the rain, can’t explain,
It falls, hitting hard and strong,
Joining tears, that flow down,
Riding the curve, her cheek,
Dripping onto her pale shirt.
My hand moves, in spiritual slo-mo,
A century passes, and finally,
Touches her sad face, flooding,
This world with, the maddening sorrow,
Of another reality. Soul children,
Stricken by torrent, can’t quite,
Hold their heads above water.
Forgotten time passes, no one,
Can move anymore. Telltale
Signs of midborn existentialism
Her eyes rise, blue, wet,
How many? She said,
Nineteen, all gone. It can’t be,
Yes, nothing we can do.
They’re all gone.
As the flood ends, the rain,
Returns. Upward it travels,
Taking with it, all that came before.
Her eyes, return too, and thus
I fall. Touching no more. Hand
Disappears, atomically by written,
Plan. Though I never had a chance.

Keiichi, My Friend!

Brothers in Arms,
We fought to be Free,
Oppression and Torture,
Oft hung from a tree.
I met him in York,
On a hot, humid day,
I don’t quite remember,
Was it one time in May?
We took to the violence,
But for sake of Good,
He slaughtered those criminals,
And nailed them to wood.
For Keiichi, the true King,
Of York and all Men,
He won’t be forgot,
Oh! Keiichi my friend!

Monet

Spattered on the
Green leaves of
A Giant palm.
Hunting Heads,
In Yonder York,
Sword Heavy, but
Precise.
Skulls piled in
Tesseract form,
Inside is Monet.

The Land of the Free

We walked through the jungle,
My brothers and me,
I felt all their suffering,
In our fight to be free,
Neither torture, nor Death,
Can come between thee,
One day, once again,
Our land will be free.

The Shartak Insane Asylum

A multitude of tortured souls,
Escaped that night, truth be told.
The Shartak Asylum, dark, forboding,
Had kept those men, tortured, loathing.
Those men of fractured mind, of violence,
They killed the guards, eyes white, in silence.
And now we’re left, a tragic, sanguine story,
God Save Us, Cast away your empty glory,
You men of schizoid, septic, mind break,
Come sit, be quiet, we’ll medicate,
Hush now, sad, frustrated men,
God’ll help find yourselves again.

Ode to Terabithia

When I first met her, I knew we’d be friends,
I loved her and she loved me, until the end.
On that dark fateful day, the river ran strong,
The rope, it broke, and then she was gone.
She taught me how to believe in dreams,
Her words flowed through my reality stream,
And when we went to our own secret place,
I’d see fantastic sights, and a smile on her face.
I go back to our sanctuary, every now and then,
Close my eyes, hear her voice, together again.

A Message from God

Spinning the wheels of life again,
Can’t figure out where or when,
Crying out loud for God to send,
A message, direction, please, amen.

Why can’t you hear me when I shout?
Are you really so shocked that I’m in doubt?
Trying so hard to figure thinks out,
I wish I knew my way, my route.

Listen to me, my wayward son,
I’m talking to you, why do you run?
Stop for a moment, my will be done,
These hard times, you shall overcome.

The message to you is in the wind,
A piece of paper, flits to a tree, pinned,
The way of forking paths, entwined,
Forward, you cannot change behind.

What you tell me God, I ask once more,
Why not clearer, which way’s the door?
Can’t I come to you right now?
I’ll soar, On wings made from some chemical ore.

The time of your departure is not right,
Think of your family, friends, this night,
Keep faith that you fill them all with light,
And don’t give them a terrible fright.

I’ll listen to what you say, Dear God,
I’m meant to be here, however odd,
I don’t know who I affect with a nod,
Or a smile, a word, my sexy bod!

That made me smile, I’m glad you’ll stay,
Your path is lit with love each day,
Remember when there seems no way,
Listen harder to the words I say.

Flower

As a flower looks towards the sun,
I look at you, my precious one,
As raindrops run down flower’s petal,
My tears run as if stung by nettle,
As tender breeze wafts through the field,
I touch your cheek, your pain is healed,
As flower’s roots bring living waters,
My hands meld clay, just like a Potter’s.
As flowers close to sleep at night,
I bless your heart and fill it with light.

Holding your hand, until the dawn of a new day.
I’ll be your angel, when you’re feeling blue,
Holding your hand, sending you love to help you renew.
I’ll be your angel, collecting all your tears,
Holding your hand, as we walk through the years.
